A delightful Pair of French Louis XV Canapés from the mid 19th century, in the shape of a Harpsichord “à la Turque de Clavecin”

These small sized French canapés features a walnut frame showing the typical curvy lines of the Louis XV era.

With C-scrolled chanelling and rococo cartuches within moulded serpentine shaped back and seat rail. The back frame with acanthus leaf carvings, shaped armrest supports and seat rails about 5 cabriole legs, headed by flowerheads and foliate pendants.

Sink into the pillow cushion and be enveloped by the curve of the frame. With its charming Louis XV style and lovely warm patina to the walnut, these pair of French canapés, circa 1870 will make a definite statement in any room.
