An impressive large Directoire Period Walnut Cylinder Roll Top Writing Desk in walnut and beautifully figured burr walnut veneer. This handsome desk preserves the elegant and stately characteristics of earlier periods with the moderation of the elongated and uncomplicated shape and clear lines of the Directoire period.

Having a flecked grey marble top above three drawers, a well-appointed interior, with a space for all things correspondence and office related. The interior provides additional spots for organising your belongings, and pigeon holes and cubby for papers and notes with four drawers and original leather top slide. Below the interior are two long drawers with working locks, the keyholes are surrounded by styled brass escutcheons.

Raised on square section tapering legs with brass capped feet.
