Pair of Early 19th Century French Louis XV Style Crystal Bronze Chandeliers
A Very Fine Pair of Large Louis XV Style Two Tier 8 Light Crystal and Bronze Chandeliers decorated overall in scalloped crystal glass pendeloques with star rosette accents and large crystal spires.
Each chandelier crown is topped by splays hung with large Marie Therese shaped pendeloques with further splays below supported by the central crystal clad shaft.
The top tier displays 3 bronze candle arms supported by the central shaft. The second tier or open basket shaped frame, supports 10 scrolling bronze candle arms which alternate with 5 arms supporting exquisite, moulded baluster spires, that intensify the lustrous shine of the light arms.
The chandeliers terminate in a large facetted finial ball.
The impressive size of each Chandelier and the imposing use of excellently cut crystal glass pendeloques and crystal spires to provide maximum light refraction, gives these chandeliers their exclusive appearance.
