A very fine and impressive French Louis XV Style Tortoiseshell Mantel Clock of 8 day duration, striking hourly and half hourly on a bell.
The waisted case of Tortoiseshell with ormolu brass mouldings to the front and sides, surmounted by a scrolling acanthus leaves and cartouche. An opening glass front door to the enamel dial with Roman Numerals and Arabic 5 minutes.
Signed to centre by the notable Planchon, Paris and Movement by Medaille D’Argent Marti et Cie
Comes with pendulum and winding key.
