Tapestry of Brugge

Tapestry of Brugge

c. 20th Century

This chenille tapestry of Brugge is a scene of the lovely medieval Belgian town. The frame effect is woven as part of the overall tapestry. Also known as The Lake of Love tapestry, this is appropriately woven in Belgium and is lined with a rod pocket for easy wall-hanging. Here we see a canal with the characteristic buildings surrounded by trees, with quaint and idyllic architecture of its traditional buildings.
