A striking French Louis XV Oak ‘Lit du Jour” Daybed from the 19th century, upholstered in a soft gold and cream silk damask fabric.
Each end with cartouche back and serpentine shape, carved with foliate sprays and centred with trailing floral sprays and flowerheads, flanked by padded rails, over a channelled serpentine apron with a floral spray and acanthus scrolls, raised on foliate and cabochon-carved cabriole legs.
Comes with two bolster cushions.
