Exquisite antique 18th Century Louis XV Period Provincial Walnut Bombe Commode or chest of drawers.
The serpentine moulded shaped top sits above two short, shaped drawers with a centred secret drawer and two panelled long drawers carved with C-scroll ornament. Original gilt bronze foliate handles and escutcheons decorate the drawers, with panelled angles and moulded panelled sides, sitting on scrolled cabriole feet.
It is a perfect statement piece that can accommodate any modern aesthetic in today’s home. Ideal placement for an entry or a study to showcase its rich walnut patina.
