A French Louis XV Oak “Lit de Jour” Daybed
c.1860, France
A magnificent French Daybed Lit de Jour circa 1860 features a carved oak frame, each end with S-scrolled shaped carving. Further escargot scrolled ends, over a chaneled serpentine apron with scrolls, flanked by padded side rails, raised on 6 cabriolet legs, terminating with escargot scrolled feet.
Comes with two bolster cushions. Upholstered in a salmon and cream silk damask fabric.
