A lovely French 18th Century Louis XV Period Buffet Deux Corps (in two parts) from the Loire Valley.

Made of solid oak, the origin of this buffet is attested by the presence of the shaped cornice and elegant carvings, traditional of the area. The shaped cornice, above a pediment decorated with fine outsized carvings,

The four doors with richly carved C-scrolled panels with 3 central drawers and shaped apron. The centre panels of the doors decorated with outsized foliate Spring flowers motifs and fluted side reliefs.

Fitted with bronze cast escutcheons and hinges, on short conforming foliate scrolling feet.

This piece has a beautiful patina.
