The FInd Antiques is delighted to offer this outstanding Louis XV Style French Floral Marquetry Serpentine Bureau Plat. The incredibly elegant and slender design, stunning timbers and exceptional gilt mounts, combine to form the richest and most striking of contrasts.

Designed in the Louis XV manner, of free standing form, constructed using grained walnut, and elaborate foliate gilt bronze mounts; rising from swept slender cabriole legs, and dressed with gilt bronze sabots.

The top adorned with serpentine sides and cantered corners, stained floral marquetry of fruitwood, mother-of-pearl and ivory inlays around a decorative inset of gilt tooled original tan Morocco leather.

The shaped frieze housing two lockable oak lined drawers of excellent proportions. With Keys.
