A beautiful and uncommon 19th century Large Overmantle French Louis XVI Empire Revival Style two tone gilt mirror with Cherubs, retaining its original mirror.
Featuring on each end a hand carved cherub of exquisite detail, overlooking a rectangular frame with floral decoration of acanthus leaves and pearl beading. The gilding retains a good and soft patination, showing the original gilder’s overlays of two tone gold leaf.
