A striking Large Antique French Louis Philippe Period Mirror with water-gilding and gold leaf to the frame, retaining its original mercury mirror. The Rounded rectangular frame presents with an intricate and detailed etched acanthus leaf floral decoration in water gild, surmounted by a pediment of scrolling flowers and central shell shield.

The gilding retains a good and soft patination, with the beautiful tones of the original red clay bole showing through, giving the frame a stunning and unique decorative look.
